25 Blunt Ended Bands from 20 bp to 500 bp in 20 bp increments. Blunt ended bands avoid gel artifacts caused by fragment reannealing. Both polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and a 3% Metaphor gel resolve bands from 20 bp to 500 bp. All bands on polyacrylamide are very sharp. The lower bands on the Metaphor gel will appear slightly diffuse due to the poorer resolving capability of Metaphor for very small fragments. Polyacrylamide gels provide 250 loadings per tube, Metaphor gels provide 125 loadings per tube.
