Description: Pyruvate kinase catalyzes the transfer of phosphate from phosphoenolpyruvate to ADP to form ATP. Fructose-1,6-diphosphate is an allosteric activator of this enzyme.

Inexpensive: 180 fold less expensive than other suppliers. This is the least expensive commercial preparation of pyruvate kinaes in the world. One tube of our pyruvate kinase will last many years for a typical laboratory.

Highly Purified: Greater than 98% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE gel analysis. Purity is suitable for all molecular biology applications. This product does not contain bovine serum albumin, or any other protein additives.

Supplied: Pyruvate kinase is supplied in glycerol buffer at high concentration, usually 20 mg/ml or higher. Typical pyruvate kinase reactions can be easily accomplished by using a 1,000 fold (or more) dilution of this enzyme preparation.
